With the introduction of SMS Version 11, EMS-I is introducing a new method of updating and support. Users will automatically received future versions and enhanced support through an annual maintenance fee.
The annual maintenance fee will be a 15 percent assessment, namely, 15% of the retail costs of the Version 11 products for which you have a license. Veri-Tech will send its customers annual invoices at each purchase birthday.
Customers can continue use of older versions even if they choose not to pay maintenance. However, technical support for all SMS users without current maintenance will end on April 1, 2008.
- Current users of SMS 9.x need only pay the 15% annual maintenance fee to upgrade to version 11.
- If you own older versions of SMS you need to upgrade to version 11 at current upgrade fees and pay the annual maintenance fee.
- Any new licenses for SMS 11 will include the 1st year’s maintenance fee.
With the release of version 11, a new password will be required or if you have hardware locks, they will have to be reprogrammed. Your SMS v11 license will have the same modules you have in your existing license. If you wish to add modules or interfaces, additional license fees will apply.
