Steps to follow when installing Veri-Tech software products

After installing Windows XP SP2, accessing a hardware key via a network connection may cease to work properly. The default firewall policy of Windows XP SP2 is to block inbound connections. Therefore, after installing SP2, UDP port 6001 might get blocked and therefore the trouble. So, whenever this is the case, open the port in the advanced option of the IP firewall. This applies to networked implementation of security only.

Vista Users to run CEDAS or CEM on your Vista platform you may have to force your system to emulate Microsoft XP. Click here for instructions on how to do this.

If you have Windows 7, you may need to update the driver to the latest version.

1. Unplug the USB key
2. Download the latest Sentinel driver (7.6.1) from www.setupmykey.com
3. Plug in the key
